Quilts In The Kitchen

Those of us who really love quilts and the quilt block designs, wouldn't mind having quilts all over the house and even in the kitchen,That's what I thought anyway when I designed one of my latest patterns called "Quilts In The Kitchen." It features seven different quilt block designs and one for each day of the week. I am in the process of trying it in many different colorways, and I thought I would likem to try one with some of the neutral shades that are so popular in home decorating and in furnishings. Here is a sample of one of the blocks done up in just three different shades of beutrals. I really like the look and it is a great way to take a vintage idea and make it look more modern.

SO Easy Recipe!

Today I made a very easy recipe that I stumbled across a couple of weeks ago.
IT IS VERY EASY, just the kind I like!
How about a cake with just two ingrediendts?
This is very delicious and something I would make again and again.
Ingredients:
One Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake Mix
One Can of Pumpkin

The picture shows a yellow mix, but I used White.
Pour the White Cake Mix in a bowl, add the can of pumpkin
and mix it together.
Do NOT ADD the ingreadients on the back of the cake mix!
Just mix the cake mix and the pumpkin.
Put in a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake.
I used the unspiced Pumpkin, but I think if you like a spicey
cake, you could use the one that has the spices added.
The result is a super moist light cake
that is delicious with some cream cheese frosting.
I will defintely do this recipe again. It is not too sweet. just perfect!
This would make a great Thanksgiving dessert, and so easy.
I LOVE EASY RECIPES!,gives me more time to stitch.

Jingle Socks, Jingle Socks, Jingle All The Way

Hello all you beautiful stitchers and quilters out there! I know I have been a little absent lately, but I have been busy designing and I have some new things to show you. There will actually be eight of these, but these are ready and can ship out next week. The name is Jingle Socks, because they are made so that you can put a gift card or cash inside for those hard to buy for on your list, and they will get a cute little keepsake ornament as well. I will be posting on my website today.  www.chickadeehollowdesigns.com
